Erin Brandt, DVM
Dr. Brandt grew up in Georgia and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She then completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a one year specialty internship in emergency medicine at Cornell University and two years of residency training in emergency/critical care at Tufts University.
After her time in academia, Dr. Brandt practiced emergency medicine at the Animal Medical Center in Nashua, NH, before becoming an emergency clinician at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA in 2013. During her time in Massachusetts, Dr. Brandt fell in love with Maine, and got married on Peaks Island in 2014. She joined the ER team at Maine Veterinary Medical Center in 2016.
Dr. Brandt’s professional interests include transfusion medicine, fluid therapy, and renal disease. She’s very excited to explore her new home state with her husband and her rescue dog, a “coconut retriever” named Penny from Turks & Caicos.
